Hi! I'm Delaney and I am currently working towards my degree in Biology. I plan to pursue Genetic Counseling after undergrad! I love almost all animals but my favorite animal is a dog and I could talk about them all day.
Hi Delaney, welcome to evolution! What drew you to a career in genetic counseling? As someone with *all the conditions* in a family with *all the conditions* I think genetic counselors are becoming more and more central to how people understand their health. Also, totally agree about dogs, aren't they the best?
Hi Dr. Wiggins! I was drawn to genetic counseling for a couple of reasons. First, I really just love genetics! I thought about going into a field with animal genetics but found that most of the time a lot of lab work was involved which isn't my favorite. I also really liked the idea that genetics could be used to help people make personalized medical decisions. I think for a long time people have used a one solution fits all approach in medicine and as time has gone on we've realized that's not the case!
